Operations @ Trafilea At Trafilea, we foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. We believe in investing in our people and providing them with the support and development opportunities they need to grow both personally and professionally. With our remote-first approach, you'll have the freedom to work from anywhere in the world, surrounded by a diverse and talented team that spans the globe.

We are looking for a Dyeing Technician to ensure apparel fabrics consistently meet compression, elasticity, and color standards by translating lab formulas into scalable bulk processes. The specialist travels to partner factories to oversee dyeing operations, verify recipe adherence, and monitor production parameters. Responsibilities include conducting on-site shade and compression tests, approving lab dips, and performing root-cause analysis to resolve defects like shade drift or compression loss. The role collaborates with QC, PD, and Production teams to standardize best practices, update SOPs, and coach vendors. Timely reporting, escalation of systemic risks, and proactive issue resolution drive improvements in fit accuracy, color consistency, and customer satisfaction.

You’ll need to be more than just organized—you’ll be curious, tech-savvy, data-driven, and proactive, always looking for smarter and faster ways to deliver results.

  • Compression & stretch recovery: Measure post-dye compression/elasticity and recovery per internal SOP; flag and quarantine out-of-spec lots.

  • Color quality checks: Manage lab dip approvals, bulk shade checks (spectrophotometer + visual), and pre-shipment verification; maintain shade libraries.

  • Root cause analysis & CAPA: Lead investigations on shade drift, patchiness, crocking, migration, barre, or compression loss; implement corrective/preventive actions.

  • Collaboration: Partner with QC, PD, and Production to synchronize specs, prevent recurrences, and translate learnings into updated SOPs and vendor coaching.

  • Reporting & escalation: Log issues in Asana within 24h, tag owners, set due dates; escalate systemic risks immediately with evidence.

  • Proficient with spectrophotometry (ΔE methods), shade bands, and visual evaluation.

  • Proven experience measuring stretch/elastic recovery and compression after dye.

  • Strong RCA (5-Why/Fishbone), data logging, and SOP discipline.

  • Factory-floor presence; travel 50–70% across the vendor base.

  • Working English + Mandarin.

  • Tools: Google Sheets/Docs, Asana (or equivalent), handheld QC tools.

Nice to have:

  • Textile/Chemical Eng. or Color Science background.

  • Experience with heat-set/finish lines affecting compression.

  • Familiarity with ISO 105 colorfastness tests and ISO 20932 stretch/recovery.

What we offer:

  • Collaborate with world-class talents in a data-driven, dynamic, and energetic work environment.

  • Opportunity to grow and develop both professionally and personally.

  • Safe space to be who you truly are, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
