As a Senior Merchandising Manager, your mission is to oversee and lead the entire Merchandising division, managing a team across multiple markets and business units.
You will also lead the Merchandising and Demand Planning Tribe, ensuring alignment between merchandising strategies and demand planning efforts. In addition, you will be responsible for leading the seasonal revenue planning in collaboration with the Merchandising team, working cross-functionally with International Expansion, Wholesale, Amazon, Beauty, and other business units.
Your role includes optimizing purchasing, inventory management, and developing strong relationships with brands and strategic vendors. Your leadership will be crucial in defining strategies that enhance sales, improve margins, and ensure an exceptional product portfolio, positioning the company for continued expansion and market leadership.
Job requirements
- 7+ years of leadership and management experience in merchandising/purchasing is a must.
- Women's Intimate Apparel or Women's Clothing experience is a must
- Proven ability to manage and lead teams, with experience overseeing a diverse group of professionals across multiple markets or business units, is a must.
- Experience in high volume, multiple category, and large SKU count areas is a must.
- Fluent English level is a must.
- Great communication skills with C-levels is a must.
Accountabilities:
- Lead and mentor a diverse merchandising team, including a Merchandising Manager for D2C US and International markets, a Merchandising Lead for New Businesses, a Merchandising Lead for Beauty, a Merchandising Coordinator, and a Listing Assistant.
- Set the strategic direction for the division, ensuring alignment with overall company goals, and execute this strategy with precision.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance across the merchandising division, promoting a results-oriented environment.
- Collaborate with leadership in Acquisition, Finance, Wholesale Brands and International Expasion, Product Development, and other key divisions to ensure seamless execution of merchandising strategies.
- Build and maintain alignment among these teams, driving synergies that enable the company to excel in both its own and third-party brands.
- Oversee all purchasing activities, ensuring that procurement processes are highly efficient and aligned with company needs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing to optimize inventory turnover and stock availability.
- Lead seasonal Revenue and Open-to-Buy planning, ensuring alignment with marketing and operational goals.
- Establish and strengthen long-term relationships with brands and vendors, negotiating terms that optimize pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
- Proactively address and resolve vendor-related challenges to maintain a resilient supply chain.
- Identify opportunities to establish new vendor partnerships that expand the company’s product offerings.
