Trafilea is a Consumer Tech Platform for Transformative Brand Growth. We’re building the AI Growth Engine that powers the next generation of consumer brands.

With over $1B+ in cumulative revenue, 12M+ customers, and 500+ talents across 19 countries, we combine technology, growth marketing, and operational excellence to scale purpose-driven, digitally native brands.

Why Trafilea

We’re a tech-led eCommerce group scaling our own globally loved DTC brands, while helping ambitious talent grow just as fast.

🚀 We build and scale our own brands.

🦾 We invest in AI and automation like few others in eCom.

📈 We test fast, grow fast, and help you do the same.

🤝 Be part of a dynamic, diverse, and talented global team.

🌍 100% Remote, USD competitive salary, paid time off, and more.

Key Responsibilities

This role is the guardian of the company’s largest expense: its people. You will manage a high-volume, dual-stream payroll environment that requires both surgical precision in calculation and a "detective" mindset for financial controls.

1. In-house Payroll Management

  • Own the full payroll cycle (pre-closing to payment) for local employees.

  • Calculate gross-to-net salaries, social charges, and tax liabilities (BPS, IRPF, IRNR).

  • Validate external payroll data and ensure 100% accuracy before processing.

  • Prepare journal entries and ensure alignment with Accounting and Treasury.

2. Remote & International Compensation

  • Manage end-to-end payroll for remote teams, including reimbursements and fee calculations.

  • Oversee multi-method payments (bank transfers and digital wallets) for global disbursements.

  • Perform final payroll audits and communicate status company-wide.

  • Automate and streamline processes using salary macros and reporting tools.

3. Financial Control & Reconciliation

  • Execute rigorous mid-cycle and final payroll audits.

  • Reconcile payroll accounts, ensuring all payments match ledger and bank records.

  • Manage off-cycle adjustments and resolve discrepancies promptly.

4. Payroll Reporting & Forecasting

  • Prepare monthly payroll projections to support Finance planning.

  • Present monthly payroll reports, including spend, capitalization, and compliance insights.

Job requirements

  • Mathematical Accuracy: Exceptional ability to handle complex formulas for remote fee structures and local tax brackets.

  • Audit mindset: You don't just "input" data; you "control" it. You must be able to spot anomalies in large datasets before they reach the payment stage.

  • Process Documentation: Ability to manage "Salary Macros" and maintain the logic behind these tools to ensure continuity.

  • English: Upper intermediate
