Workflow Automation Engineer
At Trafilea, we scale globally loved DTC brands with ecommerce excellence and AI-powered automation. As a Workflow Automation Engineer, you’ll design, build, and optimize automations using n8n and other integration tools to streamline processes, unlock efficiency, and empower teams across the company.
You’ll be at the heart of our automation-first culture—turning manual workflows into scalable, data-driven solutions that make us faster, smarter, and more effective.
What You’ll Do
Design, build, and maintain n8n workflows and integrations connecting tools like Slack, Recruitee, Notion, CRMs, and ecommerce platforms.
Translate business requirements into automated processes that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Build and document scalable automations for HR, Marketing, Tech, and Operations teams.
Integrate with APIs and databases (REST, GraphQL, SQL, DynamoDB, etc.) to connect and sync systems.
Monitor, debug, and optimize workflows for reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and prioritize impact.
Keep up with the latest in automation tools (Zapier, Make, Retool, AI agents) and recommend improvements.
Foster a knowledge-sharing culture, documenting solutions and enabling non-technical teammates to leverage automation
Job requirements
Who You Are
3+ years of experience in automation, integrations, or backend development.
Hands-on experience with n8n (or similar: Zapier, Make, Airflow).
Strong skills in API integrations, JSON, and data transformations.
Familiarity with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and scripting (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python).
Strong problem-solver, able to translate business pain points into elegant automation.
Organized and detail-oriented, with a passion for process improvement.
Collaborative communicator, able to partner with both tech and non-tech stakeholders.
Curious, proactive, and eager to explore AI-assisted automation as part of workflows.
